If you want to dig deeper into the Philippines’ history during the Spanish colonial period, take a trip to the
Apolinario Mabini Shrine in Tanauan. As its name implies, the
museum contains all the memorabilia and artifacts Mabini used, such as letters, handkerchiefs, cabinets, a cane, a wheelchair, eyeglasses, a chair, and a table. Aside from Mabini’s items, the shrine also contains his coffin, where he was laid to rest in 1903. Also, a replica of Mabini’s ancestral house in Tanauan is within the museum’s vicinity.
