Batangas City prohibits visiting of cemeteries for this year’s All Saints’ Day
Following the nationwide order, the local government of Batangas ordered all cemeteries in the province to temporarily close for All Saints’ Day from October 29 to November 4. This is to make sure all residents follow strict physical distancing protocols and to avoid overcrowding at the cemeteries. Those who wish to visit their departed loved ones may do so after November 4. [2]
Tagaytay establishments closed on Mondays for disinfection
The local government of Tagaytay has issued an executive order that requires establishments like hotels, fast food joints, stand-alone restaurants, dining spots within malls, markets, amusements and theme parks, and souvenir shops to close every Monday for disinfection. All offices and agencies that operate from Monday to Friday are required to conduct disinfection protocols on weekends. However, hotel guests may still make use of housekeeping and food and drink services.
Any establishment caught violating the order will be sanctioned a one-week temporary closure for its first offense and a month-long temporary closure for the second offense. This order was made to help lessen the spread of COVID-19 and to keep the surroundings clean. [3, 4]
