Tagaytay will always be a favorite weekend destination for many. Because of its accessibility, cool climate, and peaceful scenery, the place is easily a go-to when one finds the need to escape the fast-paced life in the city. Not only does Tagaytay offer countless spots to visit, but it also boasts dining spots and hotel restaurants with mouth-watering dishes that can only be found there.
If you ever find yourself stepping foot in Tagaytay anytime after the quarantine, then jot down these amazing hotel restaurants you must not miss! The quarantine forced these establishments to close their doors to guests, but now that the government has eased restrictions, they have finally opened once more. So, if going on a Tagaytay food crawl is on your bucket list, then read on!
1. Bellissima Al Fresco Restaurant at Escala Tagaytay
Location: Escala Tagaytay, Purok 102, Poblete Street, Barangay Maharlika West, Tagaytay City
Operating hours: Friday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (last orders taken at 7:30 PM)

Escala Tagaytay’s in-house dining spot, Bellissima Al Fresco Restaurant, reopened its doors to guests last May 22, 2021. Catch their Beef Tapa (Cured Beef) and Chicken Adobo for breakfast and Crispy Pata (deep Fried Pig Trotters) for lunch. The place also offers Italian dishes like pizza and pasta; in fact, one of the most recommended dishes is their own Escala pizza which can pair with any beverage on their menu. So, choose between caffeinated drinks like brewed coffee and latte, softdrinks, juices, and fruit shakes.
Customers are given a QR code to scan for a contactless and convenient way of viewing their menu. Note that the resto will limit its seating capacity to 50%, and the hotel’s guest rooms and facilities will remain closed, except for the restaurant.
2. Twin Lakes Cafe at Twin Lakes Hotel
Location: Twin Lakes Hotel, Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, Laurel, Batangas
Operating hours: 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM

Twin Lakes Hotel’s in-house restaurant Twin Lakes Cafe provides more than just a stunning view of the Taal Volcano from its indoor dining area and alfresco balcony. Make the most out of your visit to the place by trying the restaurant’s Lengua Financiera, an ox tongue braised with herb tomato concasse, red wine, and button mushrooms. You can also feast on Callos Andalucia: beef tripes stewed in chorizo de bilbao, garbanzos, bell peppers, paprika, and tomato sauce. The cafe also offers take-out and pick-up services around Tagaytay and Laurel, Batangas.
3. Veranda at Taal Vista Hotel
Location: Taal Vista Hotel, Kilometer 60, Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City
Operating hours:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Saturday to Sunday; 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Another hotel resto that’s worth seeking out in Tagaytay is Taal Vista Hotel’s Veranda. The resto offers classic Filipino dishes, including its best-selling Tinola Sa Buko (Filipino chicken soup served in a coconut). Other organic dishes such as the Adobo ni Tatang (chicken cooked in soy sauce and vinegar), Hot Bulalo (bone marrow soup), and crispy Tawilis (freshwater sardine) are also guaranteed must-tries.
Veranda was rated 100% by the Department of Tourism-Tagaytay for its readiness and preparation under the new normal setting. It will be implementing strict safety measures starting from regular disinfection to contactless payment methods.
4. Unlimited Korean BBQ at BiKyeong Hotel and Restaurant
Location: Tagaytay-Nasugbu HWY. Brgy. Bagong Tubig, Neogan, Tagaytay City
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
BiKyeong’s Korean BBQ will surely make you say “masitssoyo!” (it’s delicious!).

No need to book a flight to South Korea to get a taste of Korean barbecue! Just two hours away from Manila, BiKyeong Hotel and Restaurant boasts unlimited Korean barbecue complete with side dishes including kimchi, braised potatoes, and rice. Outdoor tables and seats are provided so grilling can be easier and more enjoyable. In addition to these, the resto also has a brand new item on their menu: Korean style bento! You can select between Samgyupsal, Tonkatsu, or Fish Katsu Bento. If you’re up for a lighter meal, BiKyeong also offers an a la carte menu available for take-out, pick-up, delivery, and dine-in services.

5. Tapsilog at Malaco Hotel

Another antique gem located in the heart of Tagaytay is Malaco Hotel. The place offers home-cooked goodness featuring a menu focused on silog, the all-time Filipino breakfast favorite that consists of sinangag (fried rice), itlog (egg), and various meat combinations. You can get yourself a plate of Tapsilog, Skinless Longsilog, or Tosilog, all with free coffee or iced tea. The hotel also offers a free delivery service for their Pork Sisig (pig head and chicken liver seasoned with onions, chili peppers, and calamansi) and Pork Barbecue pre-orders within Tagaytay.
