How Hotels in Tagaytay Step Up Their Safety Measures

As part of the restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19, high-risk establishments such as malls and hotels were ordered to close down. Although hotels including those located in well-known tourist spots like Tagaytay City are not yet operational, they still implemented strict safety measures to keep their employees safe and protected. Hotels in Tagaytay are also gearing up for the “new normal” in the hospitality industry once the quarantine is completely lifted.

Various general guidelines are already in place. Thermal scanning upon entering hotels in Tagaytay and other establishments—including parking structures—is mandatory. All employees must also wear protective equipment such as face masks, face shields, disposable gloves, and goggles. Health monitoring procedures will be done as well. The entrances of commonly shared spaces such as restaurants, restrooms, locker rooms, and the like are installed with alcohol-based sanitizers for hand disinfection before entering.

While hotels have yet to reopen, some are already preparing guidelines to ensure that rooms are clean and safe. For instance, the guest rooms, suites, and villas at the Quest Hotel Tagaytay will undergo thorough disinfecting and sanitizing prior to any guest arrival. When it comes to food, stricter food safety and hygiene practices will also be implemented.

Employees are also required to wash their hands frequently with soap and water or disinfect with 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizers. This must be done after every activity where physical contact is needed. Meanwhile, large gatherings are prohibited in closed spaces like pools, gyms, lockers, and elevators. As for restaurants, only delivery services are allowed and any interaction must be guided by the “three-feet rule” where employees must keep a distance of at least three feet apart.

Although hotels in Tagaytay are not yet allowed to open again, observing these precautionary measures is one sure way of letting their future guests know that they do not have to worry about traveling after the quarantine.
