This year, the city is yet again giving us a number of good reasons to visit—and perhaps stay longer—with the many developments that have been happening recently. These developments give us greater opportunities to enjoy this city and explore more condo living options outside the bustling Metro.
If you are visiting Tagaytay anytime soon, here are some of the recent city developments that are worth checking out this 2018.
1. Fora Mall

Fora Mall by Filinvest is the newest shopping and leisure destination in Tagaytay City.
Strategically located at Tagaytay Rotunda, Fora Mall is the newest lifestyle mall in the city developed by Filinvest Development Corporation. The mall is a part of Filinvest's 5.2-hectare mixed-use development called Fora Tagaytay, which will include two eight-story condominiums and two ten-story condotels.
Fora Mall features Super Metro Hypermarket, which is said to be the country's first 24-hour hypermarket, and four digital cinemas with a seating capacity of 200 people each, which is also a first for Tagaytay. The mall is yet to be filled with retail stores and restaurants. The stores that are now open in Fora Mall include Giordano, Levi's, Penshoppe, Oxygen, La Sedia Furniture, and Ace Hardware.
2. Bag of Beans D'Lodge Bed & Breakfast
Bag of Beans D’Lodge is a dreamy fairytale-like accommodation in Tagaytay City.
Bag of Beans is a brand in Tagaytay that many people adore for the impressive dining experience it connotes. Its line of bed and breakfast outlets offers homey and aesthetically pleasing accommodations. Recently, they announced the upcoming opening of their newest bed and breakfast, Bag of Beans D' Lodge. The sneak peak of the rooms shows intricately designed with hardwood and velvet furnishings, emanating a vibe that combines something out of a fairytale and a country idyll.
The exact location of Bag of Beans is yet to be unveiled but it is expected to open in February of this year. Meanwhile, Bag of Beans also opened its newest café & restaurant branch at the ground floor of Robinson’s Summit Ridge.

Serin East Tagaytay is conveniently located behind Ayala Malls Serin.
Conveniently situated behind the trendsetting lifestyle center, Ayala Malls Serin, along Gen. Aguinaldo Highway, Serin East Tagaytay is the newest development by AvidaLand boasting of modern yet rustic and cozy condo amenities. The development aims to give its residents a laidback experience amid a suburban architecture by mixing natural and contemporary elements.
Completed in the last quarter of 2017, Serin East Tagaytay features recreational amenities that families can enjoy, such as adult and kiddie pools, a game room, a clubhouse, and jogging paths. Parking spaces are located at the podium level. Currently on pre-selling, unit sizes range from 22 to 64 square meters, while prices range from PhP2,800,000 to PhP13,200,000.
4. Cool Suites at Wind Residences

The condo towers of Cool Suites are surrounded by vast lush greenery.
Cool Suites is the newest project of SM Development Corporation (SMDC) at the Wind Residences estate in Tagaytay. Consisting of six towers, this new garden complex features lush greenery surrounding the concrete structures. Units complement the exterior setting by taking on a bright and tropical theme.
Located along Gen. Aguinaldo Highway just a few minutes away from SkyRanch and Robinson's Summit Ridge, Cool Suites boasts of first-class facilities that include sports and recreational areas, a commercial strip, a sky lounge with a 360-degree view of Tagaytay, and about 50 parking spaces in each tower. Tower A was completed earlier in 2017 while Tower B is expected to be inaugurated soon. A 26-sqm one-bedroom unit (smallest) is priced at PhP3,062,000, while a 147-sqm four-bedroom penthouse unit (biggest) is at PhP23,588,000.

Lucerne is in a privileged spot, commanding a view of Taal Lake and Volcano.
After the turn-over of the first residential village at Twin Lakes, Domaine Le Jardin, earlier in 2017, a second one is expected to blossom soon. Currently being developed, Lucerne consists of 838 lots covering over 30 hectares of land, which command a good view of Taal Volcano and Lake. Village amenities include a clubhouse, a fitness center, a business center, sports facilities, and commercial areas.
Lot sizes range from 250 to 500 square meters. The price of one lot starts at PhP4,000,000.
