There are two occasions when flowers are most in demand and bought at peak prices: Valentines’ Day and All Saints’ Day. The average price increase during these occasions is between 50 and 100 percent. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, here is a list of the best places to shop for flowers in Batangas. You’ll get to know about what prices to expect as well.
1. Garcia’s Flower Shop
Roses aren’t the only flowers you can give this Valentine’s.

To Batangueños, there is one name that is synonymous with flowers, and that is Garcia’s Flower Shop. The shop has been around for four decades. Its current location on JP Laurel St., Tanauan City, is the original address where the business started. Garcia Flower Shop’s longevity speaks a lot about its reputation. It has established its name as a go-to flower shop in Batangas. Without claiming the title, it has almost become the official flower shop of Tanauan City and its nearby towns like Malvar, Talisay, and Sto. Tomas.
2. Leo C. Flower Shop
When done right, vibrant wrappers enhance the beauty of flowers.

Hitting two birds with one stone: this was what Mr. Leonardo Cabel of Leo C. Flower Shop did when he started the business 20 years ago. His catering business required flowers on most occasions, so instead of subcontracting a flower shop, he put up his own. According to Mr. Cabel, the flower business is great as Filipinos have become more expressive in showing their love and appreciation through flowers. For orders, customers can call or text 09774696419.

Flowers and Greens is a flower shop in Lipa City that exudes a professional ambience but treats the floral business with a soft heart. With them, it is like ordering flowers with feelings. What sets Flowers and Greens apart from the other shops in the area is that they don’t increase their prices even during peak seasons. The shop was established in 2003 by one of the relatives of the prominent Umali-Pena family in Lipa. They accept online orders, but delivery is limited to Batangas.
4. Little Dangwa in Morada Ave.
Add chocolates or stuffed toys for a sweeter gift!

The flower business is always alive along Morada Ave. in Lipa City, Lipa City’s version of Manila’s Dangwa. The flower stalls do not look fancy but flowers can be bought there at more affordable prices. The oldest of the flower shops in the area is Hi-land Flower Shop. Other flower shops along Morada St. include Bloomery Flowers Shop, Kelsey’s Flowers & Gifts, Maycee Flower Shop, Heaven’s Touch Flower Shop, to name a few.
The local market is a reliable place to find one’s needs, including flowers. Stalls there may not have a prominent business name display but the frequent customers (suki) just know where to find what they need. Most of the market stall owners have been in business for years, even decades. When All Saints’ Day is approaching, it is customary in Batangas that makeshift flower stalls in the marketplace mushroom. And like in regular shops, the prices of flowers in the market also shoot up when the day comes—starting at PhP150, but still negotiable.
“Say it with flowers,” an old ad slogan stated. Flowers have an inherent eloquence. What words cannot express, flowers can, so this Valentine’s Day, make your special someone feel just how much you love them with a bouquet!
Prices may change without prior notice.
