The Department of Tourism (DOT) unveiled the new terminal building at the Clark International Airport in Pampanga last May 2. The new terminal spans over 110,000 square meters and can accommodate at least 8 million passengers annually. Along with its spacious area, this world-class terminal features facilities and equipment that make traveling more convenient under the new normal.
Clark International Airport has a self-check-in feature that can be toggled through any smartphone compared to other airports. Passengers can now check-in their own flights and baggage with their phones. In addition, passengers can also print boarding passes and luggage tags by scanning QR codes. Because of its new features, Clark International Airport is called the “quiet airport.”
A few of the highlights at the airport are the OFW lounge and the boarding area—which has a stunning view of Mount Arayat and the Sierra Madre. Basic necessities like an all-gender comfort room are also part of the airport. There are also automatic tray retrieval systems at the Clark International Airport for the passengers’ convenience.
The airport also features nursing stations and multi-faith prayer rooms. DOT hopes that the Clark International Airport’s new terminal will attract foreign and local tourists with these state-of-the-art features and world-class interiors.
The Clark International Airport will cater to local air carriers like Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines.
