The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) launched the VaxCert PH, which serves as the nation’s digital vaccine certificate. Currently, it is only applicable to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and other international passengers [2]. It serves as a more organized and more valid proof of vaccination information required for travel in different countries.
Pampanga residents can register for VaxCert in SM
Clark for those who do not have a proper mobile phone or couldn’t download a digital certificate. Registrants must make sure that the information they input is valid and proper to avoid rectification. It should also be easy to access during travel.
More tourism workers are getting vaxxed in Central Luzon.
Many tourism workers in Pampanga are getting vaccinated as the DOT continues to ramp up its
vaccination rollout, which is a step in the area’s tourism recovery. DOT completed its target of inoculating 3,109 tourism workers in A1 hotels all over Subic Bay Freeport Zones, Angeles City, Pampanga, Tarlac, Clark, and Olongapo City as of October 9 [3].
Since Pampanga is the Culinary Capital of the Philippines, it is one of the prioritized areas for the vaccination drive. In Pampanga alone, about 4,191 tourism workers were vaccinated, including those working under regular hotels, quarantine hotels, support services, and other tourism facilities. The vaccination rollout started last August 12, 2021, in San Fernando City.
Reports from Subic Bay Freeport Authority also indicate that five hotels and accommodations within the area have fully vaccinated all of its staff and employees. The following hotels include Subic Bay Travelers Hotel, Mansion Garden, Le Charme Suites, Bumble V Subic, and The Villas Moonbay Marina [4].
