Good news for Clark residents: bike paths, open spaces, other outdoor facilities, and
public parks are open again in Clark for outdoor activities after the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) allowed the operation of these spaces last September 15. This decision was based on the guidelines from the Department of Tourism (DOT), National Inter-Agency Task Force (NIATF), Department of Health (DOH), Games and Amusement Board, and Philippine Sports Commission, according to CDC’s CEO and President Manuel R. Gaerlan.
Residents can engage in recreational activities, outdoor exercises, and non-contact sports. With the reopening of these areas, safety measures are implemented to minimize the risk of COVID-19 among the public. The guidelines are the following:
● The age limit is for individuals aged 15 to 65, except for pregnant women and those with comorbidities.
● Individuals must also practice proper disposal of their trash to keep the spaces clean. If there’s no nearby trash bin, guests must bring their own trash home.
● The standard wearing of face masks except when catching one’s breath, drinking, and eating; masks must be worn even when doing strenuous activities for
safety measures and precautions.
● Visitors and groups exercising for joggers and bikes shall be limited to only a maximum of three persons per group only to maintain proper physical distancing. Exceptions will be people from the same household as long as they provide proof of their residency.
● However, events like family gatherings, picnics, events, and other similar activities are not allowed if without the IATF’s approval.
● Dogs owners can bring their pets to residential areas, picnic grounds, K-9 cemeteries, and side streets as long as the dogs are kept on a leash. Owners must also be responsible for disposing of their pet’s wastes properly.
● Any pets are not allowed on Clark’s parade grounds.
