The
Philippine National Railways has announced that it will temporarily suspend the Governor Pascual-Tutuban and Tutuban-Alabang train operations starting from March 28, 2024. This halt is necessary to facilitate the
North-South Commuter Railway construction project in Metro Manila.
According to the Philippine National Railways, the temporary suspension of Philippine National Railways services is to ensure the safety of passengers during the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway, which will take at least five years. This measure has been brought to avoid any potential risks and hazards arising from the ongoing construction activities.
To assist commuters affected by the suspension of the Philippine National Railways, the Department of Transportation and the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board have collaborated to arrange alternative bus routes. Passengers traveling to and from Tutuban and Alabang will be dropped off and picked up near the current Philippine National Railways route. This measure aims to ensure that commuters will continue to have access to reliable transportation options during the Philippine National Railways suspension period.
