MMDA starts Holy Week transportation and travel protocols
In addition to the
transportation protocols adjustment, the MMDA also began their
“Oplan Metro Alalay Semana Santa 2022” or Oplan MASS last April 8, 2022 [2].
Oplan MASS aims to adjust other transport and travel protocols to help motorists and travelers this Lent season.
MMDA will deploy more personnel in transportation hubs—mostly terminals, seaports, and airports usually crowded during Holy Week when people are traveling to provinces.
The MMDA transportation and
travel protocols will monitor entry and exit points bound to and from Metro Manila. It includes significant expressways, roads, and highways like the North and South Luzon Expressways, McArthur Highway, Coastal Road, A. Bonifacio, and McArthur Highway. This Holy Week, significant churches and sacred spots will also be monitored to check if safety protocols are followed.
