COVID-19, and most have a total of over 10,000 confirmed cases each. However, the

Pasig City’s COVID-19 cases nearing 10,500
Based on the data released by the Pasig City Public Information Office on February 2, there are 10,450 confirmed cases in the city. Out of this number, 203 are active cases; 9,827 are recovered; and 420 are deaths. Among the barangays in the area, Pinagbuhatan has the most number of confirmed cases with 1,404 infections. Ugong currently has the most number of active cases. For recoveries and deaths, Pinagbuhatan leads at 1,298 recoveries and 84 deaths.
Makati City Health Department released COVID-19 reports
As of February 1, Makati City has recorded 191 active cases of COVID-19. In total, there are 10,757 total confirmed cases. Of this number, 10,170 are recoveries and 396 are deaths. Out of all the barangays, Pio del Pilar has the most number of total confirmed and active cases with 698 and 14 in total respectively. Poblacion has the most number of deaths at 26.
Mayor Isko announced over 100 Manila barangays remains COVID-free
Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Domagoso announced that over 100 barangays in Manila were COVID-free from December 1 to January 31, 2021. Earlier, Domagoso posted a reward of PhP100,000 for barangays that will remain COVID-free from September 1 to October 31. During the period, 73 barangays were able to comply.Out of the 73 barangays, 20 managed to remain COVID-free until the second challenge.
Domagoso started the challenge to encourage residents and barangays to have stronger and more effective ways to curb transmission of the virus. As of January 31, Manila City has 362 active cases of COVID-19. There have been over 26,458 confirmed cases in the city, with 25,312 recovery and 784 deaths.
DOH closed QC patient case with UK COVID-19 variant
The Department of Health (DOH) closed the case of a Quezon City patient who was reported to have the UK variant of COVID-19 last January 13. DOH Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a virtual press briefing that they were able to identify, test, and quarantine the patient’s close contacts. The individuals were also monitored and none showed symptoms of the new variant.
The QC patient was the first case of the UK COVID-19 variant in the Philippines. He got the virus when coming home from Dubai and immediately went under quarantine after testing positive. His mother and girlfriend also tested positive for COVID-19 but negative of the UK variant.
