Online or digital workouts were very popular in 2020, and this is one of the fitness trends that will be carried over into 2021. There are many ways online workouts can be done: through Facebook live, Youtube, a Zoom group session, and mobile apps like Nike Training Club. Online workout classes are also beneficial for those who can’t work out without proper instructions and guidance. It’s also very flexible; if you don’t have equipment, you’ll easily find workouts that don't require any tools. And if you’re new to working out, you can also choose the difficulty of the exercises.

Outdoor fitness classes are classified as a low-risk activity.

According to an article by the Mayo Clinic, your chance of getting coronavirus outdoors is less likely compared to indoor settings because fresh air is constantly moving outside. Health experts also categorize outdoor fitness classes as a low-risk activity as long as physical distancing is properly observed. Since most gyms are traditionally indoors, experts predict that more facilities will be transitioning outdoors.

4. Outdoor Exercises and Activities

Another trend that will benefit home workout is remote coaching, which some fitness centers already started to offer during the early months of the pandemic. Experts see this trend continuing as many people are still not comfortable going to the gym but still want to have a trainer to track their progress.
