To ensure the peace of mind of guests during their stay, the DOT approved only the best hotels in Metro Manila that passed its strict inspections. So if you’re looking for a vacation in the city, below are seven of the best hotels in Metro Manila that are guaranteed safe.

The Grand Hyatt Hotel prioritizes their guests’ safety by implementing rigorous sanitary and safety protocols. All Hyatt Hotels received the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) cleanliness and training accreditation, which means that the hotel staff is properly trained to conduct standard health protocols.
To maintain the safety of all guests, the hotel conducts hourly sanitization of frequently touched surfaces and common areas. All guests are also required to have their temperature checked every time they enter the hotel. When it comes to food preparation and service, kitchen areas are frequently disinfected, and the restaurant temporarily switched from the buffet to à-la-carte menus. Posters with safety reminders are also placed throughout the hotel to guide guests.

Located within City of Dreams, the hotel features a vibrant atmosphere where guests can relax and see what the city has to offer. Before checking in, guests are required to secure a negative COVID rapid antigen test from any DOH-accredited health facility on the same day of their stay. In addition, to make sure that their guests can unwind safely, the hotel limits the number of guests per room to two adults only. Sanitizing stations are also installed around the facility.

Joy Nostalg Hotel and Suites in Ortigas welcomes guests to their spacious and modern suites, but as with other hotels, a set of safety protocols must be followed. Guests must receive negative results from the antigen rapid test that will be conducted on the check-in date. Besides limiting the maximum number of room occupants, the hotel also allows only couples or family members who are living in the same house to share rooms. Enhanced sanitation protocols are also being practiced in public facilities and rooms. Physical distancing marks are also put up as a reminder for the guests.

Makati Shangri-La is among the first hotels in Metro Manila to receive the Certificate of Authority to Operate for Staycations from the DOT. Besides this accreditation, Makati Shangri-La also received an international Safeguard Hygiene Excellent and Safety Label from Bureau Veritas, a company that specializes in inspection of facilities.
Along with the standard health protocols set by DOT, Makati Shangri-La also implements mobile check-in through the Shangri-La mobile app. The menus for the restaurant are also digitized for in-room dining and guests services. In addition to these dining options, the dine-in service is also available, and floor plans were adjusted to make sure that there will be enough distance between tables.

Besides adherence to standard protocols such as wearing of face masks and face shields, guests must also have their vehicles disinfected before parking. Those who plan to play at the casino and slot machines must also take note of the changes in the game area: only three players per table are allowed and slot machines are spaced one seat apart. For diners, all restaurants will be limiting the maximum allowed guests.
