Good news foodies: several hotel restaurants in the metro have reopened! Restaurants in GCQ areas have been allowed to operate at a limited capacity and with safety measures in place, so you can now dine in at your favorite restaurants—including the finest spots housed in hotels. If you’re planning to treat yourself to a fancy meal, check out this list of hotel restaurants in the metro!

The Grand Kitchen is the “dining room” of the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Known for its world-class culinary dishes, The Grand Kitchen is an all-day dining restaurant that ofers options ranging from Filipino to Chinese food. This elegant spot inside Grand Hyatt Manila reopened with their guests’ safety as the top priority. Under the new setup, enhanced measures for service and food preparation are implemented so that diners can eat safely. Guests will be required to answer a wellness disclosure form and wear face masks at all times. Inside the restaurant, tables are also set at proper distances from each other, and a digital menu will be used. Utensils and tables will also be thoroughly disinfected regularly.

Craving for a hearty steak? You can get your fix from the Raging Bull Chophouse & Bar at Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila. The steakhouse offers a large selection of beef, from dry-aged, grain, to grass-fed. When it comes to safety, the restaurant is also well-prepared. The entire place and all equipment are frequently sanitized. Service and kitchen staff practice proper hygiene measures and strict food safety protocols. Tables at the restaurant will also be at least a meter and a half apart for better physical distancing. Meanwhile, diners will be required to wear face masks, undergo temperature checks, and accomplish a digital health declaration form upon entry.

If you’re looking for a flavorful meal, you might want to try the traditional Thai flavors at Benjarong at Dusit Thani Manila. One of the most popular Thai restos in the city, Benjarong offers authentic Thai food made by Chef Watcharaphon Yongbanthom, who gives a modern twist to traditional Thai dishes. The restaurant will be accepting reservations only. For safety measures, they are following the standard health protocols set for restaurants. Seating capacity is also reduced for social distancing.
Long Bar’s signature cocktails and dishes are now available for dine-in.

A favorite chill spot in the metro, Long Bar reopened its doors for those who want to have gastronomical nights out. The bar is known for its crispy spring rolls, Vietnamese style chicken wings, and pork belly chicharon (fried pork belly). Complement the dishes are crafted cocktails, international and local beers, and their signature Singapore Sling.
Under the new normal, the bar will be implementing a “no mask, no entry” policy. Guests will also have to provide an answered health declaration form upon entering the premises. Inside the bar, a limited number of people will be allowed, and they must follow proper social distancing.

Spectrum reopened the public starting July 1, 2020.

Spectrum buffet at Fairmont Makati shifted to a strictly à la carte setup. Despite the change in service, Spectrum’s menu is still full of delectable dishes. This dining spot lets you expand your culinary experience from homegrown Filipino food to Middle Eastern fares. Along with following standard health protocols, the restaurant will also be practicing contactless self-service. Reservations are required since seats will also be limited.

Conrad Manila’s award-winning restaurant China Blue reopened its doors with stringent safety measures in place. The elegant restaurant is exquisite not just for its interiors, but also for its selection of authentic traditional Chinese cuisine crafted by celebrity chef Jereme Leung. Some of the must-tries include the golden roast duck with osmanthus and rose bean sauce in momo wrapper. To complement their meals, diners can choose from various Chinese teas with health benefits, like the Organic Superfine Dragon Well Long Jing Green tea, which can lower cholesterol levels and protect the liver.

Kusina Sea Kitchens is one of the restaurants that reopened within the Resorts World Manila complex.

Recognized for a vast menu comprised of Asian and Western dishes, Kusina Sea Kitchens is now open for dine in services, but its buffet service has been transformed into a “marketplace” concept. This new system still offers an eat-all-you-can experience while adhering to the safety measures required by the government. To ensure the safety of its diners, the restaurant uses state-of-the-art sanitation and disinfection tools such as smart disinfection and temperature chambers. Compliance with standard health protocols will also be required from guests and staff.
