The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has updated their number coding scheme. The update does not affect the numbers of license plates and coding days, but rather the areas covered by the scheme. Changes in the scheme are the inclusion of Malabon City and exclusion of East-West NLEX Service Road via Valenzuela [2].
According to the update, cities in Metro Manila that are not required to follow the coding are:
• Navotas
• Muntinlupa (Alabang-Zapote Road)
• Marikina (except Marcos Highway)
• Pateros
• Taguig (except East Service Road, C5, and Manuel L. Quezon)
Meanwhile, cities with coding hours from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM with no window hours are:
• Makati
• Caloocan
• Las Pinas
• Malabon
• Mandaluyong
• Manila
• Pasay (except portions of Buendia, Airport Road, Sales Road, Domestic Road, and MIA Road)
• Paranaque
• Quezon City
• San Juan
• Valenzuela
Pasig City will have window hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. But several roads will not have window hours and cannot be used from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM:
• C5
• Shaw Boulevard (R. Magsaysay to Pasig Boulevard)
• Marcos Hi-Way (Katipunan to Sumulong Hi-Way)
• Ortigas Avenue (Santolan to Imelda Avenue)
