For nostalgic folks, 90s emo band American Football and Philippine’s theater legend Lea Salonga will hold their own respective shows. Found the perfect show for you? Check out the details of these five concerts in Metro Manila this August 2019!

Ever since their debut in 1997, American Football has become an inspiration for young bands all over the world. However, to the dismay of their fans, the group went on hiatus for 14 years. Happily, the emo grunge band resurrected in 2014, gaining them new and younger fans. Mostly known for their classic tune “Never Meant,” American Football expands their legacy with the release of their third self-titled album this year.
The new album is a treat for younger fans as the band collaborated with Paramore’s Hayley Williams for the song “Uncomfortably Numb.” Joining American Football in their Manila show will be local band Typecast. Tickets are available at Bandwagon Asia’s website.

IV of Spades became popular due to their hit songs “Mundo” (World) and “Hey Barbara.” On the other hand, Rico Blanco is an OPM icon on his own as the vocalist of the legendary band Rivermaya. Several of the band’s famous songs include “214,” “Himala,” (Miracle) and “Ulan” (Rain).
