Project Announcements
Filinvest GAIA, a new township in New Clark City
Filinvest Land, a subsidiary of Filinvest, will create an eco-friendly and innovative township called Filinvest GAIA. The 288-hectare land will be turned into a green city and is expected to be the fourth largest township development of Filinvest.
Recently, the property developer broke ground in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac. CEO and President Vivencio Dizon, officials from Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), and representatives from local government units came to the groundbreaking ceremony.
Filinvest GAIA will rise to be a modern, smart, and sustainable township that is expected to contribute to a stronger economy. It is strategically located near the National Government Administrative Center and the New Clark City Sports Complex. The sports complex will be hosting the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) that can provide a chance for Filinvest to showcase the business.
The township’s industrial zone is expected to be completed by November 2019. It will include a world-class sports complex with a seating capacity of 20,000; an aquatic center that can occupy 2,000 people; and an athlete’s village that can house about 1,000 athletes [1].
Meanwhile, residential, commercial mixed-use, office mixed-use, and institutional zones are expected to be completed by 2022. These are currently in the first phase of development [2].
AppleOne develops premier lifestyle destination in Cebu
Seeing the potential of Cebu, property developer AppleOne Properties Inc. (API) prepares for its next big project: a township called Mahi. “Mahi” is a Visayan word that means “lovely.” The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held at the Mactan Export Processing Zone.
The township will combine industrial, residential and commercial components to provide a work-live-play-shop lifestyle to both residents and visitors. It will have 5 floors for IT spaces—two floors for offices and the rest for commercial and retail spaces. A gilt-edged hotel with 120 floors and 180 rooms will also be built [3].
Set in a good location, Mahi will also provide future settlers easy access to transportation hubs. It is also two kilometers away from Mactan Cebu International Airport and five kilometers from Cebu’s beautiful beaches.
The project is expected to be completed in 2022. Together with other successful projects like the AppleOne Equicom Tower and the AppleOne Banawa Heights, Mahi is expected to be a big contributor to Cebu’s fast and growing economy.
