Starting at 11:00 PM on May 4, the eastbound part of Marcos Bridge along Marcos Highway will be closed from traffic for rehabilitation. The rehabilitation will last for four months. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that the rehabilitation will focus on repair works and maintenance of the bridge which is used to connect parts of Rizal, Marikina, and Quezon City. The MMDA also issued suggestions for alternate routes below [2]:
Cubao to Antipolo
• From Cubao, go along Aurora Blvd. then to A. Boni Flyover. It will go straight ahead to Sumulong Highway to Antipolo.
• Another route would be to turn right to Katipunan Ave. from Aurora Blvd. From there, take a left turn to Boni Serrano and FVR Road heading to Macapagal Bridge then Marcos Highway to Antipolo.
• From Cubao, take a right turn to 15th Avenue then left to Boni Serrano. Go to FVR Road straight to Macapagal Bridge then drive along Marcos Highway to Antipolo.
Antipolo to Cubao
• If you’re coming from Antipolo, take Simulong Highway then Bonifacio Avenue straight to Aurora Blvd to Cubao.
• From Antipolo, you can also take Marcos Highway then FVR Road then make a right turn to Katipunan Avenue. Take a left turn to Aurora Blvd then head straight to Cubao.
• If you’re going to use the Marcos Highway and FVR Road route, then go straight Boni Serrano Ave., then make a right turn to 20th Ave., left to Aurora Blvd., then to Cubao.
