Good thing motorcycle manufacturers can always keep up; whether riders are looking for range-topping performance or a facelift, they’ll have their fill with all the new motorcycle models this 2019.

This year looks to be an ideal time for test-riding, and it starts with these much-anticipated releases. Check out these new motorcycle models this 2019 that will soon be in the market!

1. KTM 790 Adventure R

KTM’s newest model is set to dominate the dirt-filled race tracks.

Knowing KTM’s track record of creating top off-road adventure touring bikes, their promise to produce the most off-road-capable travel bike can hardly be questioned. Thus arrive the new 2019 KTM 790 Adventure and Adventure R, the promised game changers among middleweight adventure motorcycles.

The primary difference between the two is in the suspension components. The 790 Adventure is stocked with a non-adjustable 43mm conventional open-cartridge WP Apex fork, while a fully adjustable 48mm WP closed-cartridge Xplor fork can be found in the Adventure R model, making the rider feel like gliding across an otherwise rough territory.

Fitted in both units is the 799cc LC8c parallel twin engine which debuted in the KTM 790 Duke, powerful enough to deliver 95hp and 66ft-lbs of torque. They also have a low-slung rally-style fuel tank, taking cues from the KTM Rally 450 Replica, for better balance and handling. Lean-sensitive traction control, four adjustable riding modes of Street, Off-road, Rain, and Rally, Motorcycle Slip Regulation (MSR) are all standard in both models, giving you better control where it is needed the most.

2. Indian FTR 1200

The famous flat-tracker from Indian is now street-friendly.

Being the first ever American motorcycle company, Indian is never new to bright lights. They keep changing the game and making headlines, and that’s what they did with the reveal of their new Indian FTR 1200 and FTR 1200 S.

Moving from the classic cruiser to a naked, street-friendly sports bike, Indian’s new contender packs a punch: its liquid-cooled, 1203 cc, 60-degree V-twin can produce up to 120hp and 85ft-lbs of torque. The custom-made Dunlop DT3-R tires depart from the dirt-oriented, flat-rack race tires of old; it features tread blocks that are more adjacent and have shallower depth, which is better suited for the streets.

Standard is the analog speedometer with a USB port, but the smarter FTR 1200 S dons a 4.3-inch customizable Ride Command LCD touch screen with Bluetooth connectivity, as well as lean-angle sensitive stability control, traction control, and wheelie mitigation control. The 1200 S also features three unique ride modes: Standard, Sport, or Rain, with differing throttle responses and varying levels of traction control system. Overall, it’s a welcome change from the motorcycle brand and one that all riders get to experience themselves.

3. Yamaha Tracer 700 GT

The Japanese motor maker gives new life to an old reliable model in the 2019 Yamaha Tracer 700 GT, first unveiled in Germany last year.

The mid-sized motorcycle is definitely a step-up in terms of touring capabilities. It draws power from its 689cc, water-cooled, crossplane twin-engine, capable of producing 74hp and 50ft-lbs of torque. The lightweight steel backbone-type frame fitted with a long aluminum swingarm ensures utmost agility and stability. The telescopic fork front suspension and the swingarm rear suspension system run with Yamaha’s signature Sport Tourer system, for maximum performance in sports and touring conditions.

The GT is also gifted with an array of storage upgrades and a revamped ergonomic design. It comes with an adjustable high windscreen, exclusive comfort seat, and color-matched 20L side cases with detachable mounts.

The tour-ready Tracer 700 GT will roll out in three colors: Nimbus Gray, Tech Black, and Phantom Blue, but is only slated for release to the European market, which should leave the rest of world waiting for this wonder.

4. Ducati Panigale V4 R

Italian motor manufacturing company Ducati has been defining the sport ever since its inception, and now it ups the ante once again with the new Ducati Panigale V4 R. In fact, Ducati claims it is the “maximum expression of their racing DNA”.

This is because the newest contender is equipped with the most powerful production engine in Ducati history: the Desmosedici Stradale R can reach max powers of up to a whopping 221 hp, 234hp if fitted with its full racing exhaust. The STM EVO-SBK dry clutch also comes standard, made from billet aluminum and ensures ease of handling.

Proving its true worth inside the race track, the Panigale V4 R is also optimized with a fully mechanical steering damper and suspensions, an all-new pressurized front fork, and a swingarm with a four-way adjustable pin. It also debuts the Pit Limiter, a fresh-off-the-box feature that limits its speed when riding in the pit lane. Once ridden, the Panigale V4 R seals the deal that no better balance of control and adrenaline can be found anywhere else.

Husqvarna’s Vitpilen 701 and Vitpilen 401 from their Vitpilen series aren’t pitted against much skepticism, but it dares to defy the competition and exceed expectation anyways.

The Swedish pioneers fitted their brand-new Vitpilen-series bikes with the 692.7cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine for the 701, and a 373cc single-cylinder engine for the 401. Peak powers of up to 75hp and 44hp respectively are expected from the models while both models are capable of 53ft-lb of torque. Front and rear suspensions include 43mm upside down forks and monoshock for the 701 and 43mm open cartridge forks and a progressive damping system for the 401.

They are also fitted with hydraulic disc brake calipers, 320mm front, and 240mm rear perforated steel discs, as well as state-of-the-art Bosch ABS system. A powder-coated chromium-molybdenum steel trellis frame makes for both models’ lightweight and narrow bodywork, as well as clip-on handlebars seamlessly attached to the forged aluminum triple clamps. Both feature a circular digital control zone and an electronic starter.

Both the Vitpilen 701 and Vitpilen 401 are simple and straightforward, and so should your ride be on any road.
