The water supply at Manila will be lower in the coming weeks.

This week in Metro Manila, affected areas will be facing water interruption due to the low water level in the La Mesa Dam. Manila Water, one of the metro’s major water providers, attributes this to the El Nino. As a result, the company has announced that they will be decreasing the water pressure in several areas, leading to water interruptions and shortages in some parts. In other news, it will be pleasantly sunny all over the city. The weather is ideal for travel, but those who will use the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will have to prepare for the increase in toll fees.

Weather: Sunny to cloudy weather in Metro Manila

The weather is expected to be sunny and cloudy around Metro Manila. Those who will be outside can expect humid weather, since the day temperature will range from 32 °C to 34 °C [1]. As always, wear sunscreen to keep your skin protected from the sun. Monitor the news for more updates on the weather situation.

Traffic News: NLEX toll rates increase

Heads up for motorists: North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) toll fees will increase starting March 20. The increase will depend on the vehicle type. Motorists can expect a 22 percent increase on the flat rates at Mindanao Avenue, Balintawak, Valenzuela, Karuhatan, Meycauayan, and Marilao exits.

Class one or ordinary cars will be charged PhP55 (from a previous rate of PhP45); class two vehicles or buses and small trucks will be charged PhP137 (from a previous rate of PhP114); and class three vehicles or trucks and trailers will be charged PhP165 (from a previous rate of PhP136).

The end-to-end toll rate from Balintawak or Mindanao Avenue to Santa Ines will be at PhP258 from the previous fee of PhP236 for class one vehicles; PhP646 from PhP590 for class two, and PhP775 from PhP708 for class three vehicles [2].
