Motorists in Mandaluyong advised to take alternate routes
Due to the start of Mandaluyong’s 2018 Paskuhan sa Tiger City bazaar, the local government of Mandaluyong issued an advisory for motorists to take alternate routes starting from November 19 to January 3. These alternate routes can help motorists avoid the expected traffic near Maysilo Circle.
If you’re heading to Kalentong or Shaw Boulevard, you can take the Sikap Street and take the route to Sto. Rosario, Martinez, and Rafael Street. Another alternate option if you’re going to Makati Avenue is through the Coronado-Blumentritt-P. Cruz route [2].
Traffic expected due to Bonifacio Day protests
Protests are expected to occur during Bonifacio Day. Areas expected to be affected are around Mendiola, Luneta Park, People Power Monument in White Plains, or Bonifacio Monument. Motorists are advised to avoid these areas when travelling and find alternate routes [3].
Number coding might be lifted
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) might lift the number coding for Bonifacio Day. Official announcements are yet to be made but it was done in the previous year [4].
