NFA rice is not available at the Supermarket, but the store does carry other types of rice such as Sinandomeng, Dinorado, and brown rice. The price per kilo is as follows: Sinandomeng, PhP61; Dinorado, PhP70; brown rice, PhP68.
Sugar, Salt, Pepper
A kilogram of white sugar costs PhP64 and brown sugar currently sells for PhP57. On the other hand, salt sells for PhP18/kg and black pepper costs PhP9/50g.
Fish, Meat, Poultry
A kilo of tilapia costs PhP132, galunggong (round scad) sells for PhP110/kg, and bangus or milkfish can be bought for PhP195/kg.
For meat, a kilo of pork in adobo cut costs PhP205 while beef in adobo cut costs PhP213 per kilo. 250g of ham retails for PhP86. For poultry, whole chicken costs anywhere from PhP124 to PhP144 while one dozen eggs costs PhP81.
Vegetables
For vegetables, a pack of onions costs PhP53 while a pack of garlic sells for PhP37. Meanwhile, the cost of other common produce is as follows: tomatoes, PhP85 per pack; cayenne pepper, PhP45 per pack; potatoes, PhP99/500g; carrots, PhP93/500g; pechay, PhP107/500g; kangkong, PhP11 per bundle; and cabbage, PhP65 per piece.
Fruits
The price of ripe banana costs PhP42 per hand, while apples cost PhP74 per 500g and oranges cost PhP88 per 500g.
Canned goods
A 150g of canned tuna costs PhP28, while the price of a can of corned beef ranges from PhP36 to PhP92. Meanwhile, canned sardines sell for PhP13 to 15 per 150g and meatloaf retails for PhP19.
Overall, SM Megamall Supermarket is well stocked since most of the listed items are available, except for NFA rice.
