People nowadays turn to freelance work for a number of reasons, most of which boils down to independence. They want to progress at their own pace, and so choose jobs most suited to them while being able to take on other jobs. But the apparent hindrance in freelancing is the lack of a physical space to work in. While working from home is definitely an option, it has its cons too. At home, you don’t get to collaborate with like-minded people, you’re prone to being lazy, and you’re more likely to encounter distractions that keep you from being productive.
Good thing there’s such a thing as co-working spaces! You can stay for hours for a minimum fee, get to interact with other freelance folks, and actually get things done. If you’re looking for co-working spaces in Quezon City, read on.

For those who live near Cubao and Kamuning area, Racket Room Collective is just waiting for you to step out of your house and get your ideas in motion. Racket Room has all the basic co-working facilities that you’ll need, including a communal area with ample seats and tables, a conference room for your private meet-ups, and an on-site café in case you get hungry. Their awesome wall art will encourage you to get things done, too!

If you live near Maginhawa Street, there’s another co-working space near your area: WIP PH. The people behind WIP come from the world of advertising and theater, so they made sure that their space is both professional and playful. Here you’ll find the traditional chairs-and-table setup where you can place your laptop, but there are also bean bags and floor tables if you prefer to lie back while you brainstorm with your friends and colleagues.
Perks here include high-speed internet, unlimited coffee and juice, and free snacks. If you’re planning to hold a workshop or a huge gathering, you can approach the management to rent the whole space. If you prefer a less crowded co-working space, you can also check out Happy Hive in Mayaman Street in Quezon City. It has a more relaxed and homey vibe compared to other co-working spaces. In fact, you can work on a chair and table, on the floor, or even a hammock! Happy Hive also offers administrative, accounting, and bookkeeping services for freelancers and business owners who might need such help in their operations.

Good thing you’re free to do just that at Diligence Café, a co-working space in Katipunan that rose to fame because of their napping services. If you’re pulling an all-nighter but your eyes just won’t cooperate, just get some rest after asking one of Diligence Café’s staff members to wake you up.
