For Christians, Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nowadays, this event is celebrated in many ways; it has even transformed into an occasion when kids get to enjoy fun events and activities such as the traditional egg hunting. This year, the festivities are more colorful than the last as several hotels around the metro will host their own events to end the long Holy Week weekend.
So if you’re looking for Easter Sunday events in Metro Manila this 2018, read on and discover 10 events that might cater to your liking and budget!
1. Easter Sunday Family Fair
When: April 1, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: Makati Shangri-la
Price: PhP1,500 per person (adult or child)
The event features the hotel’s own Easter character, Rafa the Rabbit.

Makati Shangri-La will end the Holy Week celebration with the Easter Sunday Family Fair. One ticket is inclusive of three food stubs, one beverage stub, one loot bag to take home, access to the Easter egg hunt and many other thrilling games.
Tickets are available at the hotel’s Restaurant Reservations Information Center at the Lobby level.
How to get to Makati Shangri-La: Ride the MRT and get off at Ayala station. Once you get down, walk towards SM Annex, which is interconnected with Greenbelt, Landmark, Glorietta, Shoemart, and Park Square. Makati Shangri-La can be seen along the way.
2. Weather Forecast: It’s Cloudy With A Chance of Easter Eggs!

It will be raining eggs in Acacia Hotel’s Easter celebration! Besides access to the egg hunting galore, each ticket purchase allows kids and their parents or guardians to munch on tasty meals at the brunch buffet. There would be no dull moments as there will be an entertaining show, fun games, and booth activities. Amazing prizes also await kids in attendance.
How to get to Acacia Hotel: Ride a bus heading to Alabang and then get off at the South station. Ride a jeep with a “Zapote” sign and ask the driver to drop you off at Alabang Town Center. Acacia Hotel is near the area.
3. Easter Egg Hunt
When: April 1, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Parents can bond with their children through the festivities at Bayview Park Hotel Manila. Kids and kids-at-heart can join Bunny and Unicorn as the two adorable creatures take on an adventure in this whimsical Easter celebration at Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino. With activities and features such as an Easter egg hunt, face painting, magic show, arts and crafts projects, kiddie merienda (snack) buffet, and games, kiddies will have the time of their lives. Each kid also has a chance to get amazing prizes from the raffle, but for those who won’t get lucky, loot bags will also be up for grabs!

How to get to Waterfront Pavilion Hotel & Casino: Ride the LRT-1 train and get off at United Nations Avenue station. Go down the side where the Supreme Court of the Philippines is located; you can walk to Manila Waterfront Pavilion Hotel & Casinos from there.
5. The Smurfs Easter Village
When: April 1, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Where: Crimson Hotel
Price: PhP995
The event is a tie-in with Smurfs: The Lost Village.

It will be a blue-tiful Easter celebration at Crimson Hotel with its Smurf-themed Easter celebration. Just like Smurfs Brainy, Smurfette, Clumsy, and Hefty, kids can go on a hunt for eggs in the Smurfs’ Village! After hunting, they can also unleash the inner artist in them in the egg-decorating contest. Fun games, a photo booth, interactive show, movie viewing, and a Smurf meet and greet also awaits each kiddo in attendance. Special giveaways, loot bags, and a meal box will be given as well.

How to get to Crimson Hotel: Ride a bus heading to Baclaran-Navotas then alight at Ayala Ave, Makati City. Then ride a UV Express from Park Square terminal in Makati and get off at Festival Mall. Crimson Hotel is located within the Filinvest Corporate City.
6. Easter Party with Pororo and Friends
When: April 1, 2:00 PM onwards
Where: Monet Grand Ballroom, Novotel Manila Araneta Center
Price: PhP1,272; free for kids below 1 year old
Pororo is a popular kid’s show that originated in South Korea.

Loopy, Tong-Tong, Crong, Poby, Petty, Eddy, and Rody, the cute and oh-so-adorable characters of the show Pororo, will be taking over Monet Grand Ballroom in Novotel Manila Araneta Center. The characters will be present for a meet-and-greet session where kids can take pictures with their favorite characters. Yummy food will also be served to fill hungry tummies after participating in fun-filled games and activities.

How to get to Novotel Manila Araneta Center: Novotel is a short walk away from the LRT-2 station in Araneta Center Cubao Center. One landmark near the hotel is Art in Island museum.
7. Egg-splosion Egg Hunt Part
When: April 1, 2:00 PM onwards
Where: Manila Hotel
Price: PhP500 for walk-in attendees
Hidden treasures are waiting to be discovered by lucky participants.

The Centennial Hall of Manila Hotel will be filled with tons of activities, games, treats, and an exciting egg hunt during the hotel’s celebration of Easter! Delicious snacks and big prizes are in store for participating kids and adults at the event.
Tickets can be obtained either by getting the hotel’s Easter staycation packages and dining promos or by a walk-in purchase.
How to get to Manila Hotel: Ride the LRT-2 to Recto Station. Then ride a jeep going to Luneta Park. From there, Manila Hotel is just short walk away.
8. Easter Fun-tasy
When: April 1
Where: Midas Hotel
Price: PhP500 net for one kid with accompanying guardian
Fun-tastic times are up ahead during this Easter Fun-tasy event.

Kids will get their hands on the extensive activities for this Easter Fun-tasy event at Midas Hotel and Casino. Let your little Picasso showcase his/her art skills with Easter egg painting, cookie making, and coloring. A magic act and a ventriloquist puppet show are also in the program. Face painting, acrobat performance, a photo booth, exciting games with special awards can also be expected at the event.

How to get to Midas Hotel: Take a ride at the MRT and get down at Taft Avenue Station. Ride a jeep going to MCU-Pasay Rotonda and get off at Roxas Boulevard. Midas Hotel is just a short walk from there.
9. Dreamplay’s Dragons Ultimate Easter Eggstravaganza
When: April 1
Where: City of Dreams Manila

For adventurous kids out there who are looking for something new this Easter, why not try for a dragon egg hunt? With City of Dream’s Ultimate Easter Eggstravaganza, kids can join Hiccup and the gang as they participate in the dragon egg hunt and dragon egg painting activity. For kids who have special talents in cooking, they can also participate in the cooking activity through the special egg cookie at Cooking with Gingy.

How to get to City of Dreams: Ride the MRT and get off at the Taft Avenue station. From the station, ride a shuttle heading to SM Mall of Asia. The fare is PhP8. Upon arriving at SM Mall of Asia, wait for the City of Dreams shuttle.
10. F1 Hotel Summer Safari Easter Party
When: April 1, 2018

Usually when we talk about Easter, the animal that first comes to our minds is the iconic rabbit. However, F1 Hotel’s Easter party puts a new twist on the occasion by not sticking to one animal and instead featuring an entire jungle full of cute animals. For extra fun, kids are recommended to come in their own adorable animal or Indiana Jones costumes! The event features a bubble show, magic show, face painting area, photo booth, egg decorating, and balloon twisting. The whole family won’t leave empty-handed or hungry as there will be loot bags and a buffet available for the event.

How to get to F1 Hotel: Take the north exit off the MRT-Ayala Station then head to the shuttle terminal or The Fort bus at the corner. There are shuttles that pass by St. Luke’s Medical Center, the hospital is only a few blocks from the hotel.

Tips for preparing for and attending the event:
- Check the event’s or the venue’s Facebook page or website for availability of tickets. Some events sell out faster than others.
- For security purposes, buy tickets from the venue or official partners only, not from third-party distributors.
- If you’re unsure about the event’s details, ask the venue’s Facebook page. Most respond fast.
- Some events give out discounted prices for early bird purchases.
- Some events encourage kids to wear costumes to match the event’s theme. Others even have costume contests. Check with the hotel to verify.
- At the event, observe the rules and regulation of the venue when it comes to prohibited items or the dress code.
- Keep an eye on your children during the event. In case of neglect, kids might get lost or be in danger.
- See the policy of the event on the age limits of attendees; some also allow free entrance for people of a certain age.
