A good smartwatch is not only sleek, but also packed with lots of features.
We start off our countdown with smart bands or smart watches. This small but powerful piece of wearable technology is capable of more than just telling time. If you’re traveling for business, it helps you send a text or email, answer calls, or stay on top of your to-do list without the need to pull out your phone. You can stay fit while traveling with smartwatch apps which track your heart rate and the number of steps you’ve taken. And if you get lost, you can always use its GPS features to find your way.

Earphones usually do the job for people who like to listen to music on the go. But for true-blue music lovers who like to turn up the volume for their favorite tunes, a portable speaker is a must-have travel accessory. Bluetooth speakers are travel-friendly since they’re rechargeable. They’re fuss-free too because you don’t need to fumble with cables. When buying speakers, make sure to check its battery life and sound quality.

The fifth spot is a tie between a hands-free device and a camera accessory.
Bluetooth headsets allow users to talk on the phone hands-free. It uses radio waves to transmit radio signals up to a 300-feet range. It has become an essential travel accessory especially for people who like to multitask.
Travelers who like to up their photography game may opt instead for clip-on smartphone lenses instead of a heavy DSLR camera. There are lots of lens options in the market today like fish eye lens, wide angle lens, and macro lens. These are available at different price points, too.

When out and about in a new place, the last thing you would want is to run out of juice on your phone or smartphone. And so the fourth spot goes to the humble charger, without which mobile phones and other devices would be pretty much useless. Nowadays, you don’t have to be limited to the charger provided by the manufacturer. There are a number of options for third party USB wall chargers which let you charge more than one device.

In this age of social media, no vacation wouldn’t be complete without posting a selfie or two online. Having your own pocket Wi-Fi connection is extremely handy as you don’t need to rely on free public Wi-Fi or get an expensive data roaming plan while on vacation. It’s also great if you’re traveling with a group or using multiple gadgets, as it allows up to five devices to be connected at the same time.

Even fully charging your devices is not a guarantee that they will last the whole day. But with a power bank, you can extend the battery life of your smartphone so it won’t die out on you when you badly need it.
When using a power bank, it’s advisable not to charge it up to 100%. To avoid wasting energy, unplug it when it reaches 80% to 90%. When buying a power bank, make sure to that its milli-Ampere-hours (mAh) is more than the battery capacity of your phone.

A camera is great for documenting your vacation.
And the top spot in our poll goes to the camera. For our SG readers, nothing captures memories best like a camera, whether it’s a simple point-or-shoot camera or a full-blown DSLR kit. Almost every camera brand has a model fit for hobbyists, professional photographers, and everyone else in between. Newer technologies like mirrorless cameras also allow photo enthusiasts to enjoy crisp pictures minus the bulky body of a DSLR.
