360 Fitness Club took the number five spot in our survey. With a tagline of “Gear up for life,” this gym in the Philippines’ exercises are for clients to prepare for life outside the gym. Established in 2010, they introduced the 30-minute circuit training workout, which did not use machines. This led them to stand out against traditional gyms. Aside from circuit training, 360 Fitness Club also offers a heart rate program, strength and conditioning classes, group classes, and personal training sessions.

Boxing is a popular sport in the Philippines, next to basketball. If you want to build your stamina, try boxing at Elorde Boxing Gym. The gym is named after Gabriel “Flash” Elorde, who is touted as one of the greatest Filipino boxers of all time.

Elorde gyms have treadmills, punching bags, balls, and dumbbells. They also have showers and locker rooms. Aside from boxing, they also offer Muay Thai (Thai boxing), weight lifting, and spinning classes. Elorde’s Boxing Gym has eighteen branches in Metro Manila.

Landing on the third spot in our survey of best fitness centers in the Philippines is Anytime Fitness. The Minnesota-based brand was founded in 2002 and had over 5,000 gyms in 25 countries. True to its name, Anytime Fitness gives its members 24/7 access to their gym and state-of-the-art equipment. Services include fitness consultation, group training, and personal training. They also have the Anytime Fitness app for members to keep track of their fitness goals.

Fitness First is among the biggest names in today’s global fitness industry. They first opened in the English coastal resort town of Bournemouth, Dorset, in 1993. Exclusive signature classes at Fitness First include Pro Cycling, Freestyle Group Training, Flow Yoga, and Hardcore. They have also introduced the Spartan SGX workout for obstacle racing participants and a new indoor triathlon facility in their SM Aura Premier branch.

Taking the top spot in our survey is Gold’s Gym. It had existed since 1965 when founder Joe Gold opened the very first branch in Venice Beach, California. Gold’s Gym came to the Philippines in 2002 and now has over 610 facilities in 42 states and 30 countries.

Gold’s Gym was initially associated with bodybuilding, partly due to the docudrama Pumping Iron featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Their fitness goal offerings have since expanded outside weightlifting to include a wide array of personal training and group exercise classes.
