From pop to electronic dance music (EDM), the Philippine concert scene is bustling with big names in the music industry until the end of the 2017. 1. In The Mix 2017

Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena
Those who are looking for multiple acts in one night can watch In the Mix. Due to the success of its first show, the second In the Mix concert features a roster of artists in its lineup. This includes DNCE, 5 Seconds of Summer, Zara Larsson, Daya, Dua Lipa, and Two Door Cinema Club. Last year, In the Mix featured artists like The 1975, Elle King, and Panic! At The Disco.

2. Ariana Grande Dangerous Woman Tour

Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena
The Manchester Arena bombing incident did not stop pop superstar Ariana Grande to continue her Manila leg of the Dangerous Woman Tour. The Dangerous Woman Tour is Ariana Grande’s third world tour in promotion of her album of the same name. Filipino fans have been waiting for this concert since the beginning of the year, so tickets are selling like hot cakes.

3. Moment of Truth The End: G-Dragon live in Manila

K-Pop fans are hyped about the return of G-Dragon, leader of South Korean boy band Big Bang. Filipino K-Pop fans are anticipating his return with a new album and a tour with a Manila leg. G-Dragon, along with his group Big-Bang, last performed in the Philippines last 2015. However, this is G-Dragon’s first time to perform in the country as a solo act. He will be promoting his newly released solo self-titled extended play (EP) album “Kwon Ji Yong,” which is also his real name.

4. The Chainsmokers Memories Do Not Open Tour

Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena
The American DJ duo that produced the singles “Closer” and “Roses” are also going back to the Philippines for their Filipino fans.
The Chainsmokers already performed twice on Philippine grounds. Their first concert was in 2014 and their last was on 2016. The Memories Do Not Open is their debut studio album.

5. Road to Ultra Philippines

Where: SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds
People can dance the night away to infectious beats produced by top DJs and producers on the third year of Road to Ultra Philippines. “Clarity” producer Zedd headlines this year’s show together with other big names in the EDM scene like Hardwell, Getter, Rezz, and Sam Feldt.

6. Ed Sheeran Live in Manila

Where: SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds
Ed Sheeran, who’s behind the hits “Shape of You” and “Thinking Out Loud,” will take over the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds to play new songs off his Divide album. This is the English singer’s second concert in the country. His first show was at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last 2015 while promoting his X album. Expect swoon-worthy songs from one of the most anticipated concerts of the year.

7. Michael Learns to Rock: Eternal Asia Tour 2017
Michael Learns to Rock members Kåre Wanscher, Jascha Richter and Mikkel Lentz
A treat for all the ‘90s kids out there is the return of Danish pop/soft rock band Michael Learns to Rock. The band is behind classic songs like “Paint My Love,” “25 Minutes,” and “That’s Why (You Go Away).” The audience will dwell in the nostalgic vibe as they perform their other hit songs.
8. All Time Low The Young Renegades Tour

American rock band All Time Low has performed in the Philippines thrice. Their upcoming show at SM Mall of Asia Arena will be their fourth. The pop punk band gained recognition worldwide with their breakthrough single “Dear Maria” from their 2007 album So Wrong, It’s Right.
9. Liam Gallagher in Manila
Liam Gallagher is having his very first show in the country.
When: August 14, 8:00 PM
Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena
Liam Gallagher is another familiar face from the ‘90s who is set to return to the Philippines. He will perform classic songs from his band Oasis. Their song “Wonderwall” from their second studio album is their most popular song and made them break out into stardom. The show is made possible by Ovation Productions.
