Weather and traffic forecast

Mostly sunny skies are forecasted this week, with temperatures ranging from 24-32°C.

PLDT installation/cable laying will be done until February 5 along Shaw Boulevard, from Wack Wack to Luna Mencias St., Mandaluyong City.

Located at Capt. H. P. Javier, beside Valle Verde Country Club in Pasig, the Nipa Hut Restaurant offers a panoramic view while dining and drinking. They likewise accept reservations and offer catering services. They are open from Monday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, and on Sundays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

Hotel rates and availability

The holiday season is over, but many hotels in Eastern Manila still offer a wide range of promos or discounts for those who want a staycation or just relax while in the city.

For all weekdays of January, Privato Hotel’s Executive Room is available for Php 2,016 per night if booked for at least two nights. This is good for two persons and includes complimentary parking and use of the hotel’s swimming pool and fitness center. Privato Hotel is located at 706 Shaw Boulevard, Pasig City.

Privato Hotel also offers an overnight stay for two in an Executive Room for only Php 2,800, and can be upgraded to a Double Deluxe Room (upon availability). This likewise includes complimentary parking, use of swimming pool and fitness center, WiFi, and a 60-minute massage for two. This promo is valid until January 31.

Marco Polo Ortigas offers a luxurious and stress-free getaway for a minimum stay of two nights in a suite or Continental Club. This includes a 20% discount on all restaurants at the hotel, roundtrip limousine transfer between the hotel and airport, complimentary mini bar, plus a gift from Marco Polo.

Twenty percent in savings is also in store for advanced bookings in Marco Polo Ortigas this season. The hotel is located at Meralco Avenue and Sapphire Street, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

On January 31, Paint Box Artistry will hold a Makeup Workshop from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Go Hotels, Mandaluyong. The workshop costs Php 1,800, which includes a basic brush set, makeup palette, certificate, lunch, as well as freebies.

The Shoe Museum features a wide range of shoe collections - from that of former First Lady Imelda Marcos to those of various politicians and ambassadors. It likewise showcases the shoe-making industry of the country’s shoe capital, with images and materials used in the production of shoes. With an admission fee of Php 50.00, the Marikina Shoe Museum is open from Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Breakout Philippines’ Heist Room will be permanently closed and transferred to a new room, as a result of an investigation on reports of staff and event players that they saw and heard a child running through the walls of the Heist. Breakout Philippines is located at Paragon Plaza, Reliance St., corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City.
