Cebu’s First Ever Steak Fest Is Happening This June

The first Steak Fest in Cebu will kick off this Saturday, June 8, 2024, bringing guests a show of sounds and meat flavors. The Steak Fest is a first-of-its-kind culinary event in Metro Cebu, delving into every aspect of steak, from the careful selection of prime cuts to the intricacies of preparation and cooking.

This Cebu festival will feature a range of activities and special events. It will start with the launch of pre-orders for Rumsey's new handbook/cookbook/memoir, "Steak Simplified." In the afternoon, workshops and stalls will showcase high-quality meats and cooking equipment, and live music and entertainment will be featured.

The list of participants at this Cebu City festival is a testament to the quality of our event, featuring a variety of high-quality brands such as Meat & Livestock Australia’s Aussie Beef & Lamb, Jack’s Creek Wagyu & Angus, PYC Food Corp., Rangers Valley Black Onyx, Grainge Beef, Grab, Oven Depot, Lamb Weston Potatoes, Prime Pacific Food Corporation, Union Bank, Ten Over Ten Bar, and International School for Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management.

At the heart of the Steak Fest lies the thrilling Steak Showdown. This captivating live cooking competition brings together six passionate home cooks, aspiring chefs, and culinary students in an epic battle centered around steak preparation. The tension will be palpable as the top three cook-offs compete one last time until a winner is crowned. The champion of the Steak Showdown will receive a prize of PhP20,000 worth of products sponsored by La Carne, a Filipino-owned premium meat shop in Cebu City, and will also be the Steakfest host.

Steak Fest-goers can purchase tickets for PhP600 per person, which includes food and drink. Tickets are sold via lacarne.ph or at its shop at 88th Avenue.

Steak Fest will start at 4:00 PM and end at 9:00 PM.
