Frequently, rainy weather gets a bad reputation because shoes get wet, floors become slippery, and all that’s annoying when the sky turns grey. It can undoubtedly ruin beach days, picnic dates, and romantic walks after a solid lunch at your favorite restaurant. However, there are countless indoor activities to do when Mother Nature rains on your parade.

One of the best ways to enjoy someone’s company on a rainy day is to look at artifacts in Museo Iloilo. Inside, you can take a tour and see different cultural heritages, including stone-age trade pottery from Asian countries, era photos, war relics, Spanish-era Filipino sculpture, and modern artwork from Ilonggos.
The museum was built in 1971 and is still long-standing to pay tribute to Ilonggo heroes and ancestors. It houses artifacts of Iloilo and also Panay’s cultural and historical mementos. The museum is the first government-sponsored art gallery outside Metro Manila.
The museum tour doesn’t end with artifacts and indoor recreational activities; more is to their collection. Among the crowd’s favorites include the main exhibit of Museo Iloilo: a life-sized dummy that weaves Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog and a carbon-q4 dated remains of the Mondo tribe of Panay. Another attention-grabber is the mummified-like body of the dead Christ in a glass box!
On top of cheap admissions, museums are a great date idea because art can bring up different emotions and strike conversations. So on your next rainy free day, buy a ticket to this museum and immerse yourself and your partner in history!
