As the economic center of Western Visayas, it’s no wonder Iloilo is a busy city. Apart from that, various business districts in the city continue to expand. With this development come more people and businesses, which also means more traffic. The DPWH plans to put up the flyovers at Jibao-an in Mandurriao district and Buhang in Jaro. Currently, the agency is conducting consultation activities with various stakeholders.
With the spread of the new virus from Wuhan, China, the Iloilo Provincial Government has strengthened its precautionary measure activities [3]. The provincial government recently released an executive order “to implement strict quarantine procedures and other disease prevention and control measures” in airports. Aside from airports, inspection, clearing, and checking of foreign vessels in Iloilo ports are also advised. Those with symptoms of the disease are also monitored. Wearing masks in public areas and proper hygiene is recommended.
