An Unfamiliar Traveler’s Guide on Where to Stay in Aklan
Hotels in Aklan aren’t just found in Boracay – Aklan’s capital, Kalibo, also has great options!

The province’s capital, Kalibo, also has its own share of notable accommodations.
Mention Aklan, and you will automatically think of Boracay. And when you think about where to stay in Aklan, the famed Boracay will also be the first place on your list. But Aklan’s capital, Kalibo, is also worth visiting thanks to its rich history and culture. What’s more, it also has its share of places to stay that aren’t only well-furnished but also very accessible.
So if ever you find yourself wandering around the province and thinking about where to stay in Aklan, check out the list below!
1. Hotel Metro and Sky Bar
Where: Toting Reyes Street, Kalibo, Aklan
Price range is from PhP1,792 to PhP6,350 per night.*

With its close proximity to the airport, Hotel Metro and Sky Bar is a good choice for those who have a tight schedule to beat as it is just three- kilometers away or just about 10 minutes by car. The hotel has 52 rooms in total divided into Superior, Deluxe, Premier, Executive, and Family types. All rooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with a wardrobe and a flat-screen cable TV.
The hotel also has its own restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Finally, the hotel features a business center which can cater to events, meetings, and other events.
2. GQ Plaza
Where: 19 Martyrs Street, Kalibo, Aklan
Price range is from PhP1,500 to PhP2,200 per night.*

GQ Plaza is located right at the heart of Kalibo. It is the best spot to be when visiting either during Ati-Atihan season or during lean season. Located right in front of Pastrana Park beside the Kalibo Police Station, the hotel is a start-up homegrown hotel business of the famous Garcia-Quimpo family of Aklan. It has 40 rooms in total all distributed throughout the towering five-story building.
The hotel also has its own coffee shop, called Nineteenth Street Café located on its ground floor. If you prefer food that is more filling, they likewise have an in-house restaurant on its top floor offering an overlooking view of the town’s plaza.
3. Premiere Business Hotel
Where: Jaime Cardinal Sin Avenue, Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan
Price range is from PhP2,827 to PhP3,180 per night.*

Premiere Business Hotel is one of the bigger hotels in Kalibo as it has 30 rooms in total. Located at Jaime Cardinal Sin Avenue, Kalibo town proper is only 10 minutes away. Aside from the usual hotel offerings, Premiere Buisness Hotel also boasts of a night club and a casino.
The hotel has an onsite 24-hour restaurant and a garden bar for drinks as well. Premiere Business Hotel is also just more than two-kilometers away from the famed Bakhawan Eco Park.
4. Cess Summer Boutique Hotel
Where: Jaime Cardinal Sin Avenue, Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan
Price range is from PhP960 to PhP1,200 per night.*

Also located along Jaime Cardenal Sin Street is Cess Summer Boutique Hotel. The hotel only has eight rooms but are all air-conditioned and come with a terrace. The hotel is just 2.9-kilometers away from the airport as well. Cess’s biggest room offering, the Family room, can accommodate up to five people. Finally, the hotel has its own restaurant serving Asian food, particularly Chinese and Filipino cuisine.

5. Marzon Hotel Kalibo
Where: Jaime Cardinal Sin Avenue, Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan
Price range is from PhP1,942 to PhP6,500 per night.

Another hotel along Jaime Cardinal Sin Avenue is Marzon Hotel Kalibo. It is located beside Latte Café and just five minutes away from Kalibo International Airport. It is also one of Kalibo’s biggest hotels with a total of 98 rooms.
Aside from Standard, Deluxe, and Family rooms, the hotel also has Suite rooms. Marzon also has a semi-Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool with an alfresco dining area. Aside from the coffee shop at the entrance of the hotel premises, they also have the Grande Royale Restaurante which specializes in seafood.
6. ouR looks Inn
Where: J. Rizal Street, Kalibo, Aklan
Price range is from PhP1,699 to PhP4,500 per night.*
The hotel’s Queen Suite can accommodate four people in all.

ouR looks Inn may be small with only three rooms in total but offers a nice and homey vibe to its guests. They have a Standard Queen room for two, a Deluxe Double room for three, and a Queen Suite for four people. Aside from the basic amenities, each room has a nice balcony and also a seating area where guests can relax. Finally, each room also has a tile/marble floor and their own minibar.
7. Ati-Atihan Festival Hotel
Where: 19 Martyrs Street, Kalibo, Aklan
Price range is from PhP1,393 to P3,121 per night.*

Ati-Atihan Festival Hotel was established in 2010 to cater to the growing number of Ati-Atihan revelers. In fact, it is located just a few walks away from where the main events of the festival happens. But aside from the Ati-Atihan season, the hotel also caters visitors of the town throughout the year.
Ati-Atihan Festival Hotel hosts twenty rooms in total with three conference facilities. It also has hostel rooms for backpack travelers and economy rooms for groups. For those who prefer privacy, Standard and Deluxe rooms are also available.
