The City of Love earned its popularity in the late 20th century because of the success stories of Ilonggos mainly in the hotel and restaurant industry, as well as in agriculture. Even though international players have come to the market, these local hotels survived the competitive climate of modern times.

1. The Mansion Iloilo

Opened in August 2017, The Mansion Iloilo is a 1.5-ha property which merges Chinese, Spanish, and Filipino architectural influences. It was formerly known as Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center which was founded way back in the ‘70s.
The Mansion has a total of 187 rooms: 98 rooms at the Corporate Wing and 89 rooms at the Manor wing. The hotel also has five restaurants, a salon, a mini Olympic-size swimming pool, and a banquet and events convention center. For meetings and conferences, they have eight function rooms with two board rooms which can accommodate 10 to 1,500 guests.
2. Injap Tower Hotel

Built by Edgar “Injap” Sia II, Injap Tower Hotel is one of the investments of the business tycoon after successfully establishing fast-food chain Mang Inasal.
The 21-storey hotel accommodates foreign investors in Iloilo City, and those attending seminars and conventions. Located within one of the shopping districts in Iloilo along the Diversion Road, it is one of the hotels people choose when they want proximity and accessibility.
Hotel amenities include fully air-conditioned rooms, multiple beds, mini kitchen with microwave, hot and cold shower, 46-inch LED Cable TV with HDMI capability, and free Wi-Fi internet access.
3. Amigo Terrace Hotel

Amigo Terrace Hotel at The Shops in Amigo is a boutique hotel situated at the heart of Iloilo City. The hotel has been in existence for more than three decades now. The place is located near banks, shopping establishments, and government offices.
The hotel has a total of 99 guest rooms, which vary from suites to de luxe rooms. Amenities include a family lounge, business lounge, pool deck, and ballroom. Food outlets include Islands Al Fresco Cafe and Gloria Maris Restaurant. They also have the Amigo Entertainment Arcade which is open 24 hours.
4. Iloilo Grand Hotel Event and Convention Center

Opened in 2003, Iloilo Grand Hotel was put up by Ilonggo business tycoons Alfonso Tan, Marcelino Florete Jr., Romeo Go and Rudy Tiu. They first ran a restaurant business before eventually venturing into hotels.
Located in downtown Iloilo, this mid-range hotel has 110 rooms for guests to choose from. Amenities include Wi-Fi access, 21-inch color TV, and hot and cold water. For special events, the hotel has banquet rooms, meeting rooms, and function rooms. They also have a spa, fitness center, and a shop where you can buy pasalubong from Iloilo.
5. Eon Centennial Plaza Hotel

Eon Centennial Plaza Hotel is famous for its warm and excellent accommodations as well as their Mongolian buffet (PhP175) with over 70 ingredients.
Hotel room amenities include air-conditioning, hot and cold shower, 21-inch color cable TV, minibar, refrigerator, and Wi-Fi internet service. They also have function rooms which can accommodate 15 to 250 persons. The hotel is strategically located less than two kilometers away from tourist attractions like the Riverside Boardwalk, Molo Church, Shops at Atria, and the Iloilo River Esplanade.
6. Punta Villa Resort, Inc.

Punta Villa Resort was put up along Villa Beach by the Abanilla family. According to their matriarch Leonor Avanceña Melocoton Abanilla who founded the resort, she developed the place out of passion.
Punta Villa Resort has about 500 guest rooms. The resort features two big swimming pools and a restaurant offering Filipino, Chinese, and Continental cuisine. The entire resort can accommodate up to 1,500 people, which makes it one of the largest convention venues in Iloilo City.
