Ilonggos can look forward to more progress as promising high-rise buildings emerge in Iloilo City this 2018. These new developments, coupled with new destinations to explore in Iloilo, promise a fresh influx of tourists, businesses, and livelihood. With this rapid growth in the city, it would be interesting to discover what's in store for locals and travelers alike. If you’re wondering about all the rising structures around the city, here’s what you can expect from the new hotel developments in Iloilo.
1. SotoGrande Iloilo

SotoGrande Iloilo is the first condotel project of Sta. Lucia Land, Inc. in Iloilo. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2019, it will offer amenities such as a lap pool, poolside bar, Jacuzzi area, veranda or viewing deck, and a coffee lounge. Those who wish to study in Iloilo may look into owning a unit at SotoGrande, as it is strategically located minutes away from top-rated schools in the area.
The property also includes four bowling lanes, a bar and fine dining restaurant, and billiards facilities. SotoGrande Iloilo guests will also have the special privilege of enjoying the amenities and facilities of Green Meadows Iloilo, where the hotel is located. The hotel is equipped with basketball, tennis, and badminton courts. Those who are fond of relaxing activities may try the sauna and fitness gym.
Prices for condominium units at Sotogrande Iloilo start at PhP2,460,000 for a studio unit.
2. Goldberry Lite Hotel Iloilo

The old meets the new: This is the story of Goldberry Lite Hotel Iloilo. It is just a few steps away from Iloilo Freedom Grandstand where all the festivities for the Dinagyang Festival happen, as well as from Ortiz Wharf if you are coming from Guimaras. The hotel features a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and free Wi-Fi all throughout the facility. There is even a provision for free private parking. Tourists who have flights to catch may also make use of the airport shuttle service.
The hotel boasts of a Spanish architectural design which was originally a feature of the Escolta of Iloilo, or what’s popularly known as Calle Real. However, the interior is a mix of modern Ilonggo and old Spanish styles.
Goldberry Lite Hotel Iloilo has started to accept bookings last January 4. Room rates range from PhP2,700 to PhP5,400 inclusive of breakfast.
3. Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo
Location: Iloilo Business Park, Mandurriao, Iloilo City
This is where business and pleasure meet in Iloilo.

Another development that will open soon in the City of Love is Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo. This high-end hotel is situated at the heart of the newest elite destination in Iloilo, Iloilo Business Park. Courtyard by Marriott will be home to investors and tourists who come to the city to enjoy true Ilonggo hospitality. The hotel will feature a restaurant that serves authentic Ilonggo cuisine. Visitors will be able to savor great food from Iloilo prepared by local and international chefs.
Courtyard by Marriott features a bar, lounge, restaurant, business center, meeting room, fitness center, and pool bar. It also offers its clients free Wi-Fi. It is scheduled to open on the first quarter of 2018.
4. Park inn by Radisson Iloilo
Location: SM City Iloilo Complex, Diversion Road, Mandurriao, Iloilo City

Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo will soon be a new prime tourist destination. It is near SM City Iloilo and is accessible by both private and public utility vehicles. Those who wish to stay in a hotel close to the nightlife and shopping district of Mandurriao may consider staying at Park Inn when it opens.
The 150-room hotel is just among the newest developments of Radisson in the country. It will also feature a convention center where national and international gatherings may be hosted.
Construction for Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo started in the first quarter of 2017. A completion date has not been announced as of press time.
