Baguio’s Panagbenga Festival 2024 Has Officially Begun; Here's Everything You Need to Know

Baguio City’s most anticipated event is here! Panagbenga Festival 2024 has officially started the festivities in the country’s summer capital. If you’re planning to go to Baguio to witness these celebrations, here is the schedule of the flower festival in Baguio.
This year, Panagbenga Festival 2024 theme is “Celebrating Traditions, Embracing Innovation”.
This flower festival in Baguio City, which has been ongoing for over a month, is anticipated to draw crowds of tourists and residents alike. It serves as a vibrant reflection of Baguio and the Cordilleras' rich history, traditions, and values.
Panagbenga Festival 2024 activities began on February 3 with the Panagbenga Opening Day Parade and Ceremonies at the Panagbenga South Drive passing along the Upper Session Road, Lower Session Road, Harrison Road, Lake Drive, and Melvin Jones Football Grounds.

Panagbenga Festival’s Baguio City Spring Festival Celebration also begins today at the Spring Festival Little Chinatown Session Road, passing along the Upper Session, with the main thoroughfare to Melvin Jones Football Grounds.
Panagbengascapes: A Garden Exhibit, featuring the official entries of the annual Professional Landscaping Competition also began last February 1 and is currently on display at the Juan Luna Drive, Burnham Park, and Melvin Jones Football Grounds, Burnham Park until March 3.
Baguio residents and tourists' most awaited flora and flavor fair, the Baguio Blooms: The Market Encounter, is now open at the Juan Luna Drive and Lake Drive Extension, Burnham Park, until March 3.
Other much-awaited Panagbenga Festival 2024 activities are as follows:
• Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya ng Baguio: The Family Fair includes Let a Thousand Flower Bloom and the 9th Annual Kite Flying Challenge at Melvin Jones Football Grounds, Burnham Park, on February 11;
• Philippine Military Academy Grand Alumni Homecoming at the Philippine Military Academy, Fort Del Pilar, on February 15 to 17;
• Fluvial Parade at the Lake at the Burnham Lake, Burnham Park, on February 18;
• Rhythm and Blossoms of the Highlands featuring the official entries of the Panagbenga Cultural Dance at the Melvin Jones Football Grounds, Burnham Park, on February 18;
• Panagbenga Grand Street Dance Parade on February 24, starting at Panagbenga Park, South Drive-Upper Session Road main thoroughfare to Melvin Jones Football Grounds;
• Panagbenga Grand Floral Float Parade on February 24, starting at Upper Session Road main thoroughfare to Melvin Jones Football Grounds; and,
• Awarding and Closing Ceremonies with special highlights by the Philippine Military Academy, the Floral Cadence: The Silent Drill Exhibition, and the Celestial Blossoms: Grand Aerial Fireworks Display on March 3 at the Melvin Jones Football Grounds, Burnham Park.
In preparation for the Panagbenga Festival 2024 activities on February 24 and 25, such as the Grand Street Dance Parade and Grand Floral Float Parade, the Baguio City Police Office released the traffic plan for the closure of both lanes of South Drive, Session Road, North Drive, Kalaw, part of Abanao, part of Magsaysay Avenue, Harrison Road, Perfecto Street, Mabini Street, Shanum Street, Abad Santos Drive, and Lake Drive from 1:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
Other traffic guidelines are as follows:
Temporarily close until the duration of the parade
• Teachers Camp - South Drive junction
• Nevada Rotunda inbound to Session Road
• Session Road - Marcoville junction
• Session Road - Kalaw-Utility intersection
• Leonard Wood Road - Cabinet Hill intersection
• Kalaw - Harrison - Government Center Road intersection
• Gov. Pack Road going to Session Road
• Harrison - Veterans intersection
• Lake Drive - Abad Santos Drive junction
• Shanum - Bautista Drive junction
• Shuntog - Abanao intersection
• Abanao - Lower Shagem junction
• Y-shape inbound to Market
• Caltex Bonifacio
These areas are open to traffic
• Upper General Luna Road going down Magsaysay Road to Bonifacio Area
• All other adjacent roads are to remain open.
• One way inbound - Kisad road from BGH Rotunda until frontage of Onking Auto Parts
• One way outbound - Legarda road from G.H. Del Pilar until Marcos Hiway Legarda intersection
No parking policies are strictly implemented in these areas
• The whole stretch of South Drive
• Military Cut-Off
• Session Road
• Loakan Road
• Marcoville
• Utility Road
• Leonard Wood Road
• Harrison Road
• Gov. Pack Road
• Jose Abad Santos
• Lake Drive
• Kisad Road
• Legarda Road

• Cariño Street
• Abanao Street

• Father Carlu
