Baguio released temporary transportation scheme for May
The Public Information Office of Baguio City released an advisory for its new transportation scheme for the month of May while under GCQ. The Baguio City Number Coding Scheme will be in effect and will apply to all private vehicles and motorcycles travelling within the city. Below are the following number codes and the corresponding day when they’re prohibited:
• 1 - 2 - Monday
• 3 - 4 - Tuesday
• 5 - 6 - Wednesday
• 7 - 8 - Thursday
• 9 - 0 - Friday
The following people are exempted from the ordinance:
• Health workers, medical workers, and members of the Baguio City Contact Tracing Team
• Uniformed personnel of the AFP, PNP, BFP, PCG, BJMP, and BUCOR
• Service providers in emergency and disaster management
• Utility services for water, electricity, telecommunications, and waste management
• People authorized by the local COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force
• All public utility vehicles
The “no face mask and face shield, no ride” policy will be strictly implemented. Both passengers and public utility jeepney drivers are required to wear face shields and face masks for the entire duration of their trip. There should be plastic barriers between the driver and the front passenger and the barrier must completely enclose the driver. Taxis may operate from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM the following day.
