Once again, it’s the month of the year with everyone’s favorite love-it-or-hate-it holiday: Valentine’s Day. It is not only the season for love, but also a month of entertainment, especially when there are plenty of live shows and events in Bacolod for February 2020 where you can surely have a blast. This month of love, treat yourself to either a concert from one of the Philippines’ intimate singers or a showcase of jazz music from international artists. If attending concerts is not your thing, there’s also a tattoo competition that you can join, a fight fest where you can place your bets on who the strongest mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter is, and an online business seminar where you can learn how to have a successful career at home. Nina is a Filipina singer, radio host, and an occasional songwriter that has captured the hearts of Filipinos with her romantic songs. The Soul Siren is behind famous hits like “Someday,” “Foolish Heart,” “Jealous,” and “Love Moves In Mysterious Ways.” Nina Live in SMX will also have a special guest: Wency Cornejo, Afterimage’s vocalist who pursued a solo career after the band separated.

Fight fans of Bacolod are promised 10 exciting bouts from the most competitive fighters in the city. 6100 Fight Fest II is hosted by 6100 Martial Arts & Fitness Gym, home of Sugarlandia’s strongest fighters, in partnership with Empire Sports & Entertainment. This year, 20 players will go into a one-on-one battle of mixed martial arts at the Ayala Capitol Central Hall.

Listen to harmonic artists showcasing their own sound and style through jazz music this February at L’Fisher Hotel. The 11th Bacolod Jazzfest will feature international jazz artists like Brian Simpson, a contemporary jazz pianist and composer who has released eight albums, Jackiem Joyner, a smooth jazz saxophonist, and Anders Paulsson, who is known for his soprano saxophone performances. Filipino artists like Mike Tambasen Project, Joey Puyat, and Mojo Nova will also be performing at the music fest.

Bacolod Tattoo Fest is a tattoo competition that gathers the best tattoo artists in Negros Island. The 6th tattoo fest is a two-day competition on separate weekends. The first day of the competition will have colored and black and grey categories where pre-made designs will be judged. For the second day, tattoo artists will be given an on-the-spot design—the best out-of-the-box art wins.
