Thousands of women from different parts of the Philippines will gather for this year’s Mother Butler Mission Guilds (MBMG) National Convention. Celebrating it’s 26th year, the convention is adopting the theme “Role of MBMG in the Year of Clergy and Consecrated Persons.” If you happen to be part of the event, you are advised to wear your complete uniform (blouse and shirt with black shoes and black bag), and prepare a Filipiniana attire during the Fellowship Night.
How to get toSMX Convention Center: Either take a Bata, Mandalagan, or a Shopping-La Salle jeepney which passes on the main roads of Bacolod. Ask to be dropped off at SM City Bacolod.
Join filling the streets with color fun at Balloon Run.

These days, there are a lot of unusual fun runs that is happening in the country. In the City of Smiles, L’Fisher Bacolod will hold the first ever Balloon Run in the city as part of their 28th anniversary. If you are constantly seeking out for unique fun runs, joining the balloon run is worthy to consider. Heads up for runners! No helium inflated balloons will be used, and no single balloon will be released in the air. Registration comes with a singlet, race bib, and balloon freebies. For 5k and 10k runners, a finisher’s medal will be given.

Emerging local bands on the island will battle on September 15 at Treetop bar along Lizares Street. Bands will not only perform their hearts out, but will also compete for cash prizes of PhP5,000, PhP2,500, PhP1,500 for first, second and third place, respectively. The pre-sold tickets are a lot cheaper. t is recommended to buy tickets ahead of time to save some cash.
