The Panaad Festival is the biggest festival in Negros Occidental. “Panaad” is a Hiligaynon term which means “promise,” and the festival is celebrated to give thanks for God’s providence. With 13 cities and 19 towns participating, the festivities are usually held in Panaad Stadium. However, this April, you will find live shows and concerts not only in the stadium, but all over Bacolod. Here are six of the best performers you should catch this Panaad Festival 2018!
1. Yamaha School of Music Students Concert

A showcase from Yamaha School of Music, this concert will feature talents whom the institution has taught the ability, appreciation, and skill for music. Audiences get to indulge in great music as they witness the culmination of these youth’s journey towards music education. The concert goes live on April 17 at the Panaad Sports Complex.
2. Panaad: the Promise Fulfilled

Panaad sang Negros, in celebration of its silver anniversary, will have a live show benefit concert this April 18. For the first time since its inception, Negrense artists who are recognized not just in our country but around the world will grace the event. Guests will be serenaded by the country’s top performing names like Kuh Ledesma, Joel Torre, Ronnie Lazaro, Emey Corteza, and Audie Gemora. The proceeds from the concert will go to the rebuilding of Recovered Treasures Children’s Home.
3. Sinadya sa Panaad
When:April 19, 6:00 PM

Sinadya sa Panaad is an initiative of Love Radio Bacolod to bring entertainment to both locals and tourists during the Panaad Festival. The live show goes down on April 19 and the audience is in for a treat, with games and exciting prizes to be won. It all builds up to a party hosted by their top featured DJs.

This event is history-making in its own right, as it will be the first spin battle or Disc Jockey (DJ) Battle during Panaad sang Negros. Those of who are always down to party, get a little bit tipsy, and throw down with good music will definitely enjoy in this event. It all takes place on April 15 and is presented by the Province of Negros, The Palms, and Magic 106.3.
5. The Ambassadors Bacolod Tour

Are you a big fan of clean vocals mixed with crunch-guitars and choir-like backing vocals? Then The Ambassadors Bacolod Tour is the perfect gig for you. The Ambassadors is a pop-punk band from Cebu City which made a name for themselves in the underground scene. Their Bacolod gig will also feature other talents such as Twinkle Dudu and Lightpost, also hailing from Cebu. Interested visitors can do to G Avenue Bar and Grill on April 21 to catch the show.
