Fruit in season:avocado
Avocadoes are abundant this month.
It is the season for avocadoes this month. An avocado is a large berry with a seed in it. It is sometimes called alligator pear because its shape looks like a pear and its outer skin is textured like an alligator’s. Avocadoes do not contain any cholesterol or sodium, and are low in saturated fat which is good for the health. Avocadoes can be eaten on their own. They can also be mashed or blended into a drink or dessert. This local favorite can be found at local markets in the city.
