While Bacolod City is less busy than Manila and Cebu, it does not fall short when it comes to offering something new every month.
Here in Yoorekka, we have uncovered some new restaurants and new food offerings, as well as shops in the city to fill your closet.

New Restaurants
An avid fan of Asian food or not, you should consider trying Mekong Fresh Noodle & Grill, a new Thai-Vietnamese restaurant in the city.

Their appetizers start at PhP60 while their Vietnamese and Thai specialties range from PhP75 to PhP110.

Mekong Fresh Noodle & Grill is at Triangle Island Plaza in Lopez Jaena. Jeepneys that pass by the area have routes going to and from Shopping-La Salle, Shopping-San Agustin, and Northbound Terminal-Libertad.
Another recently established restaurant in the City of Smiles is Portiko Café & Lounge.

Strategically located at the most happening streets in Bacolod, this restaurant offers sizzling cansi (bone marrow sour soup), sizzling squid a la Pobre (recipe with garlic), beef kare-kare (thick Filipino stew in peanut sauce), gambas (appetizer made of shrimp) in crab fat, and glazed chicken wings, to name a few.

New on the Menu
One of the Bacolod-based restaurants of homegrown celebrity chef JP Anglo, MuShu Asian Restaurant and Lounge, or simply called ‘Mu Shu’, now offers local streetfood classics—tina-e/isaw (chicken intestines).

A serving of this dish costs PhP85.
Mu Shu is in Azotea, Mandalagan, 10 to 15 minutes away from Northbound Terminal. It is open from Monday to Sunday, 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
Quarter pounder pure beef cheeseburger (PhP135) is now available at Quino’s located in 888 Premier Mall.

The main branch of Quino’s (Quino’s Cafe & Cupcake Shop) is in Mandalagan. They also have a branch in Ayala, Talisay City. For inquiries, you may contact them at (+63922) 818-8275.
2Story Kitchen, a Korean restaurant, has new food offerings such as chicken salad, grilled chicken pan steak, and jin noodle. New items on their menu costs below PhP300 each. 2Story Kitchen is located at Door 65B, 697 Eastblock Building A in Brgy. Villamonte and is open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. New Arrivals
If you have exhausted all options at the malls to check out the trendiest clothes in Bacolod, you might want to try your luck in Mayfair Plaza or at 888 Chinatown Square.

At Kosas, which is located in the second floor of Mayfair Plaza, you can find new arrivals from PhP100 to PhP395. Meanwhile, if you are looking for swimwear, neckties, or baby clothes, you may want to check out ForeverUKElFashion at the second floor of 888 Chinatown Square.
